Desk: On Friday afternoon, the teaser for Kangana Ranaut's ambitious new action
film 'Dhaakad' was released. Kangana's first effort into the espionage thriller
genre. Kangana portrays Agent Agni, a spy who is skilled in disguise and
warfare in the film.
'Agent
Agni' is on an assignment when the trailer begins. What follows is a sleek
action sequence shot in the middle of the night. Kangana slings weapons, throws
punches, and takes out the bad guys. She is subsequently given a new task and a
new adversary to take down: Arjun Rampal's mining gang. Agni slaughters males
and even a few blonde hench-women using wigs, cosmetics, and her lethal combat
abilities.
Soon,
battle scenes and neon-soaked cinematography take over the trailer. Agni
attempts to penetrate a brothel owned by Divya Dutta. There are references to a
harsh past that Agni has yet to leave behind, as well as her desire for
retribution.
According
to reports, Kangana would wear seven different outfits in the film and will
also execute all of her stunts and action sequences. Kangana stated in a social
media post last year that the film has a single action sequence that cost the
producers Rs.25 crore.
Kangana has previously stated that she wants the film to be of international quality in terms of plot and action. The teaser has gotten positive feedback both in India and overseas. While comparing Dhaakad to Charlize Theron's Atomic Blonde, YouTuber Jaby Koey deemed her "better than Charlize Theron."
