The reason behind her extreme step remains unknown
Digital Desk: In a heartbreaking incident, a 19-year-old student of Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Geetanagar, Guwahati ended her life within the college premises. Sandipshna Raj who resided in Silpukhuri was a student in first semester of BA English at the college.
As per reports, Sandipshna left from her place at 8:30 AM to go to attend college and after reaching she took the drastic step by jumping off the first floor of the college building. She was immediately rushed to GMCH, where the Medical staff of Guwahati Medical College Hospital declared the victim dead.
The tragic incident took everyone by surprise and the college authorities and even the police have launched an investigation into this tragic event while searching for reasons behind her demise. As of now, the reason behind her drastic action remains unknown. College authorities together with students are grieving the death of this young person raising concerns over mental health awareness and support systems in educational institutions.
