Digital Desk: An FIR was lodged after an report of an attempted kidnapping of a 11-year-old boy was reported on Thursday in the Dispur area of Guwahati.
According to reports, a man was seen picking up an 11-year-old boy from the area near the City Cricket Coaching Center, which is next to the Assam Legislative Assembly in the Dispur.
The young boy was waiting inside the coaching center when someone approached him, gagged his mouth and pushed him in the direction of a white Maruti Van that was waiting, according to the minor boy's mother's FIR, which was based on his narration. Another man was already sitting inside the vehicle. He was then forcefully seated inside it.
Furthermore, the victim child claims that the miscreants left him near the Mac Donald's in Ganeshguri after he began to cry his way out of danger.
After being dropped off, he went to one of the surrounding stores and took a seat on the verandah. The toddler was observed by a neighbor who lives in the same apartment building, according to the police report. His mother was informed shortly afterward. Upon the arrival of the boy’s mother, a complaint was lodged at the City Cricket Coaching Center.
The complainant has called for an investigation by the police, describing the situation as one of serious concern.
The boy reportedly resided in the Khanapara locality.
