The incident has brought Zubeen Garg back into the public eye and sparked discussion...

Digital Desk: Popular singer Zubeen Garg is in the spotlight once again, this time at the 66th Central Rongali Bihu Sammelan held in Majuli. Under the auspices of Puberun Kala Parishad, the three-day event began on 7th Bohag and was held at the Garhmoor Mini Stadium.

On the final day of the event, Zubeen Garg was invited as the chief guest and was awarded the renowned title of 'Sangeet Sindhu' by the satradhikar of Garhmoor Satra.

However, Garg said something in his acceptance speech that caused some controversy. Garg criticized the notion of referring to satradhikars as divine figures, stating, "Common people refer to the satradhikars as Lord. It is completely unacceptable. Krishna was a man (a human being), never a God." Additionally, he displayed a sense of arrogance, declaring, "I am someone ... who doesn't care."

Strong reactions were sparked by Garg's remarks at Satrapeeth Majuli and on social media. Amidst the backlash, the artist acknowledged his mistake and issued an apology. However, a lot of people in Majuli doubt Garg's qualifications as an artist and wonder if he possesses the skills required of someone in his position.

The incident has brought Zubeen Garg back into the public eye and sparked discussion about prominent figures' responsibilities and behavior, especially during important cultural events like the Bihu Sammelan.
