The police blocked the villagers and KSU members from marching into the police station's premises. 

Digital Desk: In order to ask for the immediate release of two KSU members who were detained by the police in connection with the recent murders of two individuals at Ichamati, under the Shella Assembly constituency, more than 100 people, including KSU members, family members, and locals, assembled at the Sohra police station.

The South Khasi Hills District unit of KSU is home to two members.

The police blocked the villagers and KSU members from marching into the police station's premises. 

On Wednesday, there was a significant police deployment at the Sohra police station.

In the meantime, the KSU stated on Wednesday that they had made it very evident to the police that they are not permitted to raid the homes of its members at midnight.
