Guwahati: Assam has witnessed less ravaging situations due to floods this year, compared to last year. Yet, it has been noted that the area under Mayong Revenue Circle in Morigaon district has been inundated by the late floods of Brahmaputra.

Vast expanse of land, comprising of agricultural fields and sub-rivers, water bodies of Pakaria Mouza, Mayong and Manha Mouza under Mayong Revenue Circle have been already inundated with flood waters.

Likewise, locals are being forced to use boats to navigate through the flooded areas. Fields like Ashighar, Lesaribari, Balimukh are overflowing with floodwaters.
