Digital Desk: Today, a leopard has been successfully trapped in a cage at the Doomdooma Daemukhia Tea Estate, bringing relief to local residents. The animal was captured in a trap set up by the Forest Department in the plantation area of the estate after nearly a week-long effort. Officials had been monitoring the leopard’s movements and strategically placed the cage to ensure its safe capture.

The leopard had been creating panic in the tea garden for several days, frequently entering the estate and attacking livestock, causing significant losses to workers and residents.

Following the successful capture, a sense of relief has returned among the people of the tea estate, who had been living in fear due to the repeated sightings and attacks by the animal.
