The Motion Picture Academy is a professional honorary organization dedicated to advancing motion picture arts and sciences.
Digital Desk: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which hosts the Oscars yearly, has invited Bollywood actor Kajol and Tamil actor Suriya to join the Class of 2022. The two Indian actors are among the 397 distinguished artists and executives invited to join the organization worldwide.
In its most recent social media post, the Academy announced the names of the new members of the Class of 2022. Kajol and Suriya are two of the 30 actors invited to join the Class of 2022.
Jamie Dornan, Ariana DeBose, Troy Kotsur, Michael Greyeyes, Marco Rodriguez, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Sheryl Lee Ralph are among the other actors who have been invited to join the Academy in 2022.
Membership is chosen based on professional qualifications and a continuing commitment to representation, inclusion, and equity. There are 71 Oscar nominees and 15 winners in the Class of 2022.
