 Digital Desk: During PM Modi's visit to Assam on Thursday 28 April, all educational institutions and state government offices within Dibrugarh and Karbi Anglong districts will be closed.

Preparedness is in full swing in locations of the Dibrugarh and Karbi Anglong districts ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. Assam's Governor has declared 28 April a local holiday within the areas of Karbi Anglong and Dibrugarh districts.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the aforementioned districts on Thursday 28 April 2022.

On the day of the PM's visit to two Assam districts, the General Administration Department issued a notification regarding what will remain closed. According to the notification, all educational institutions and government offices in the districts of Dibrugarh and Karbi Anglong will be closed on Thursday 28 April.

In addition to inaugurating seven newly constructed cancer hospitals in Dibrugarh, the prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for another seven cancer hospitals in Assam during his visit.
