Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrapped up his intensive campaign for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the state, traversing diverse constituencies despite challenging weather conditions. Leading rallies alongside dedicated party workers, CM Sarma expressed his gratitude on platform ‘X’, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts.

In a heartfelt message, CM Sarma likened his election campaign to a pilgrimage, having covered the entire state and addressed 117 public meetings and road shows over the last 40 days. He described the experience as spiritually rejuvenating, akin to a holy dip in the Ganges, and vowed to continue dedicating himself to the people of Assam.

On the final day of campaigning, CM Sarma rallied support for BJP candidate Bijuli Kalita Medhi in Guwahati’s Azara, emphasizing the government's initiatives and urging voters to choose BJP for continued development. Despite adverse weather conditions, an impressive roadshow in Sualkuchi witnessed a significant turnout of BJP supporters.

The third phase of polls in four parliamentary constituencies of Assam, scheduled for May 7, features 47 candidates, including one sitting MP and four sitting MLAs. With Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, and Dhubri in focus, the campaign reflects the fervor and diversity of Assam’s electoral landscape.

CM Sarma’s energetic campaign underscores the importance of grassroots mobilization and engagement, highlighting the significance of every vote in shaping the future of Assam. As the state gears up for the polls, the electorate faces a crucial decision in determining the trajectory of development and governance.
