Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the state government is set to construct a Kamakhya temple in Maharashtra. Speaking to the media, CM Sarma stated that the Assam government has already acquired a plot in Maharashtra, where they plan to build a Maa Kamakhya Devalaya.

"Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Ji is a great devotee of Maa Kamakhya. When Shinde Ji visited Assam, I conveyed our desire to construct a Namghar and Maa Kamakhya temple in Maharashtra. Shinde Ji urged me to visit Mumbai for further discussions, ensuring the allocation of land for the project. Though I couldn't find time earlier, I am committed to visit Mumbai soon to advance the project," CM Sarma said.

The Chief Minister disclosed that they already possess a plot in Mumbai earmarked for the temple's construction. However, after Shinde Ji's visit to Assam, expectations rose, and they anticipate acquiring additional land for the project. Sarma acknowledged Shinde Ji's deep devotion and encouraged him to continue visiting Assam, fostering a stronger bond between the mother and son.

The proposed Kamakhya Temple in Maharashtra is poised to become a symbol of cultural and spiritual unity between the two states.
