Digital Desk: At least 15 people died and more than 35 others were injured after a bus collided with a trolley near Suhagi Pahari in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa.

The bus was travelling from Telangana's Hyderabad to Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur when the accident took place, said Rewa SP Navneet Bhasin. All the travellers were the residents of UP, the SP added.

According to Bhasin, 20 of those injured were taken to a hospital in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Talking about the accident, Rewa Collector Manoj Oushp said, "It seems that the trolley truck had an accident with the truck in front of it and when the driver applied brakes, the bus behind it rammed into it. "

The rescue operation was concluded, he said.

The MP Home Minister expressed his condolences to those who died in the accident. Taking to Twitter, the minister said, "The untimely demise of many people in the painful road accident in Rewa is extremely sad and painful. May God give place to the departed souls."
