Digital Desk: Ashwin Kumar’s devotional animated drama, Mahavatar Narsimha, has made history by becoming the first Indian animation film to gross over ₹100 crore at the domestic box office. The movie was released on 25th July 2015 in various languages. Moreover,  the film has seen an overwhelming response from both children and family audiences, driven by strong word of mouth.


A film that has broken the odds in a genre that has been a failure of the Indian cinema is the film Mahavatar Narsimha, a film produced by Kleem Productions and presented by Hombale Films. cinema. As of its 11th day, the film earned ₹1.49 crore, pushing its total net collection to ₹93.32 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. On Monday, the Telugu version recorded an impressive 24.74% overall occupancy.


On social media network X, the production house wrote a congratulatory message as a celebration of the milestone.


"Roaring past records with divine force, Mahavatar Narsimha crosses 105 CRORES+ GBOC India, setting the box office ablaze with unstoppable momentum. A divine phenomenon awaits you in cinemas."


Mahavatar Narsimha has smashed through the mainstream wall unlike such previous Indian animation films as Hanuman (2005) and Roadside Romeo (2008) which did not quite become major hits. It has even done better than the Hollywood animation films such as Frozen 2 and Incredibles 2 which made approximately 50 crore in India.


A legend of Prahlad and the incarnation of Lord Narsimha is the movie directed by Ashwin Kumar. Mythology comes to life in state-of-the-art animation and Babylon, drama.


In the wake of its success, Hombale Films has announced its grand plans to build Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, with 6 additional films released over next 20 years until 2037. With the present trajectory, Mahavatar Narsimha is more than halfway towards the 150 crore figure, guaranteeing that it will live on as one of the Indian animated motion pictures that changed the game.
