In a recent interview, Mahima Chaudhry opened up about her battle with cancer and shared details about her treatment. Further in the interview, Mahima stated that she had her friends and family by her side while she was undergoing treatment. However, the actress revealed that she did not tell her parents about her disease as it would have been unbearable for them.

My friends knew, but not my parents. My mother was there for me when I told her I had had surgery, but she didn't know what it was for.

In the same interview, the actress expressed her gratitude to her daughter as she took great care of her throughout the process and used to feed her every day. However, Mahima revealed that she did not want her baby girl to see her like that, so she used to put on an act in front of her.

When you are feeling low and lying down, you just want your mother to hold you and tell you, "Beta thodasa khalo." because you cannot even eat a morsel. At that time, it was my daughter who did that for me. Even if it was a small piece of bread, she would say, "Mama, just put it in your mouth." If my child told me to eat, I would still eat it even if I couldn't. I wanted her to feel that I was fine and that I was brave.

On the career front, Mahima will be next seen in the film, The Signature!
