Chennai: In a major embarrassment to the state BJP government in Tamil Nadu a day after PM Narendra Modi attacked Congress and the DMK, the state BJP unit used a dance snippet of Karti Chidambaram’s wife Srinidhi Chidambaram in a poll promotional video. Srinidhi Chidambaram is an acclaimed artist and a medical professional.

Tamil Nadu BJP unit used a clip of Srinidhi Chidambaram's Bharatnatyam dance in its election promotion video with an aim to promote BJP's manifesto and vision for Tamil Nadu while highlighting the state's culture.

Unfortunately, a snippet of Srinidhi Chidambaram was also used while highlighting the dance form of Bharatanatyam.
What turned out to be even more embarrassing was the fact this clip was lifted from the song 'Semmozhiyam', a song written by former DMK leader and CM Karunanidhi. Srinidhi Chidambaram had performed with several other artists in the video.
