Mariani: Massive fire broke out in Mariani's daily market in Jorhat in the early hours of Friday morning, gutting many shops and warehouses in the vicinity.

As per reports, goods worth lakhs were destroyed in the fire including shops and warehouses. No report of casualties or injured have been reported yet.

Fire tenders reached the spot and managed to douse the fire, though few of the shops were completely destroyed in the fire. The reason behind the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained.
