What is the Chandigarh video scandal all about?

The culprit was detained by the Punjab Police on Sunday. After hostel residents claimed their films became viral, action was taken.

According to a statement from the university, there was only one "leaked" film, which was a personal video the accused sent to her partner in Shimla.

Chandigarh University's pro-chancellor, RS Bawa, stated in a statement: "The media has been spreading the untrue and unfounded rumour that 60 students have had their offensive MMS discovered.
