Digital Desk: A tragic road accident occurred at Hatidhura, Tamarhat, involving a head-on collision between a battery-operated auto and a bicycle.
The cyclist, identified as Sultan Ali from Barkhasua village, lost his life in the incident.
The accident took place on National Highway 127 (B). Sultan Ali was initially rushed to Dhubri Civil Hospital in critical condition.
Later, he was being transferred to Guwahati for advanced treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The vehicle, bearing registration number AS-16 AC-6375, collided with the cyclist.
The driver of the auto fled the scene after the incident.
