According to the authorities, the deceased woman was identified as Rebika Thaodam, a Manipur native who was renting a home in Guwahati.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has filed a complaint against one Rohit Saikia, who is thought to have been in a relationship with Rebika Thaodam.
According to officials, they discovered that the two had been dating for the past one-and-a-half years during preliminary investigations into the matter
Moreover, the incident's inquiry is still being conducted by Bhangagarh Police, who detained the accused, Rohit Saikia.
