Digital Desk: The 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2022, which is slated to take place from July 15 to July 21 in the Maldives, will feature two females from Manipur representing India.

 The two girls are Solimla Jajo (17) and Solan Jajo (17) from the Manipur Ukhrul district. They are both from Kasom Khullen. Solan will compete in the 160 cm Senior Model physique category, while Solimla will compete in the 165 cm Senior Model physique competition, according to reports.

They were congratulated and honoured on Monday by the Body Builder's Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD) for the two girls' qualification for the international fitness tournament. According to the reports, a total of seven people, including Solimla and Solan, will represent India at the competition. Both of them are currently undergoing training at the Royal gymnasium at the Ukhrul district headquarters under the direction of Leishangthem Robert Meitei.

 Solimla has also bagged 5th position in the Federation Cup, a national competition last year, while Solan started practicing bodybuilding and physique sports in 2021. As per BBAUD's president Dr. Wisdom, a total of 61 athletes have participated in 7 international, and 12 National participated from bodybuilders association in numerous state-level competitions.
