Imphal: A biopic on the life of Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu will be produced by Manipur based film production company ‘Seuti Films Production’.
As per the Production Company chairperson Manaobi MM, an agreement has been already signed between Seuti Films and Mirabai Chanu at her residence in Hongpok Kakchang Village, Imphal.
Production company chairperson Manaobi MM said, “We will be making a biopic of India’s pride Mirabai Chanu for which we had signed an agreement with Mirabai Chanu on Saturday.”
The film will be directed by OC Meira and will be produced by RK Nalini Devi, wherease, dialogue and screenplay will be written by Manaobi MM.
The upcoming film will display the Mirabai’s childhood life, how she introduced with weightlifting; Mirabai’s national and international achievements and lastly, her win at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. Moreover, the film will showcase her experiences which she faces during her entire journey.
Reportedly, the film will be dubbed in English and other Indian languages.
