Digital Desk: At least three incidents of firing were reported in the violence-hit state of Manipur on Tuesday night.

Reportedly, bursts of firing from automatic rifles were heard at around 11:45 p.m. in Thangjing, Manipur. Around 15-20 rounds of gunfire were heard.

Additionally, firing was reported from the Geljang and Singda regions of Kangchup, Manipur. According to reports, the region was shaken by five gunshots at around 9:00 p.m.

After receiving the information, security forces hurried to the locations.

On Sunday night, an Indian Army soldier was injured in unprovoked firing from Kanto Sabal towards Chingmang village by armed miscreants.

Reportedly, the soldier sustained a gunshot injury and was sent to Military Hospital Leimakhong, where he is currently stable.
