Massive landslides reported from Sikkim and West Bengal, cutting off communications and traffic snarls in various places. At least 6 people have been reported dead as they have been speculated to have been washed away in the floods caused due to incessant rains. Three persons have been rushed to the hospital in East Sikkim. Three are said to be missing and are yet to be traced.

All the workers have been reported to be working at the ongoing railway tunnel. Rescue operations are underway to trace the remaining three workers.

Meanwhile, NH10 has been blocked completely due to the landslide. East Sikkim and West Bengal have been receiving heavy rainfall in the past few days with reports of floods and landslides from various places.
