It is to be noted that CM Sarma also declared that January 22 would be a "dry day" throughout Assam, upholding the event's religious purity.

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that on January 22, the day of the Ram Temple's consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, butcher shops and slaughterhouses that sell meat, poultry, and fish will be closed till 4 pm.

Sarma announced during a news conference in Guwahati that all Assamese meat and poultry stores, including slaughterhouses, will close at 4 p.m. On the occasion of "Pran Pratishtha," he also advised establishments to refrain from serving any non-vegetarian dishes until 2:00 pm. 

He further said that on this historic day, all public and private educational institutions will be closed. As part of the consecration ceremony, everyone is urged to burn diyas in the nighttime hours.
