Isawanda Laloo, the deputy commissioner for the East Khasi Hills district, has reportedly been transferred, and SC Sadhu has been appointed in her place.
Dr. Raghavendra Kumar has also taken Sylvester Nongtynger's post as the district's police chief. While SP (City) Vivek Syiem has been appointed as Assistant Inspector General, West Khasi Hills SP Herbert G Lyngdoh has been transferred as SP of the Anti-Infiltration Directorate (Law and order).
According to the notification, Darwin M. Sangma has been named the new SP for West Khasi Hills and Nangkiew K. Syiem, the Chief Security Officer of Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL), has been shifted to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police (R).

The position of Sub Divisional Police Officer, Sohra, East Khasi Hills, has been filled by Pynhunlang Manik Syiem, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Security Wing), Special Branch, Shillong.
