He urged the MDA government to look into the matter with a little more sincerity and develop a plan of action on priority to address the concerns raised by the contractual teachers.

Digital Desk: Meghalaya TMC MLA Charles Pyngrope questioned the MDA government on their incessant negligence towards the lower primary contractual teachers on Friday.

He said, "The concerns of the Meghalaya Government Lower Primary School Contractual Teachers’ Association should be taken more seriously by the government." Pointing out the inconclusive meeting between the MGLPSCTA and the Deputy CM, Pyngrope said that the MDA government may not be very serious about addressing the issues.

He urged the MDA government to look into the matter with a little more sincerity and develop a plan of action on priority to address the concerns raised by the contractual teachers.

On Thursday, the Meghalaya Government Lower Primary School Contractual Teachers’ Association (MGLPSCTA) met Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong. According to the MGLPSTCA President, Birbor Riangtem, the Deputy CM did not provide any commitment on addressing their demands.
