Digital Desk: on Friday the MePDCL Declared that it will opt for power supply interruption from April 30 till further notice.

"Due to low water levels in the state's hydro-electric reservoirs, the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) is obliged to resort to load shedding with effect from 30.04.2022 till further notice," according to a MePDCL notification.

"Inconvenience caused to our esteemed consumers is sincerely regretted," it added.

From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the whole Byrnihat, Birbhuin, 15th Mile, Rangsakona, Nongkylla Khasi, Amoher, Umphanggre, Machogre, Jorabad, Mawsmai, Nongspung, Philingkata, Umtyrnga, Maikhuli, Longkhuli, Bara Killing, Khanapara,Jorbil, Hatinara Load shedding will affect the following areas: 8 Mile, 9 Mile, 10 Mile, 132KV Industrial Consumers, 33KV Industrial Consumers, 11KV Industrial Consumers, Jojua, Norbong, Panitola, Rubber Khuli, Kongkatkhuli, Upper Bagan, Pynker A,B,C,Lower&Upper Balian, Dehal, and Nongkylla Mikir.

Nongsder, NESAC, MES Rangmen, ICAR,132KV&33KV customers, Umiam Industrial Area, Umsaw, NEPA, Umniuh, Umbir, UCC, Mawlyndep, Mawmih, Krang and its nearby villages, Lawmei, Mawlum, Mawlang, Nongpathaw, Mairung, Mawlaingut, Umraleng, Mawripih, Dewsaw

Aside from these, Umroi, Bhoirymbong, Nongtraw, Kyrdem, Mawtneng, Liarbang, Mawlasnai, Tyrso, Pyllun, Mawpun, ICAR, Airport, Sumer, Mawlein, Mawkhan, 4 No, Byrwa, 5 No, Umtham, and other surrounding regions will be subject to the same procedure. Load shedding will affect the whole Umsning C&RD Block, a portion of Mairang C&RD Block, the District Headquarter Nongpoh, a portion of Umling C&RD Block, and Jirang C&RD Block.
