The Centre has been working to quickly assist states and Union Territories impacted by natural disasters.

Digital Desk: The State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) has been authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to advance the release of Rs 17.20 crores to Nagaland for the fiscal year 2022–2023.

The money was made available as the second installment of the Central Share of the SDRF to help with relief efforts after the monsoon season's floods and landslides.

The Centre has been working to quickly assist states and Union Territories impacted by natural disasters.

The Central Government has already distributed Rs. 8,764.00 crores to 24 States, including Nagaland, as the first installment of the Central share of SDRF during the current Financial Year.

Furthermore, in light of the severe floods and landslides in various states, Rs. 827.60 crores has been released in advance to three other states as the second installment of the Central share.
