Digital Desk: In a tragic incident, a six-year-old girl, Kristilina Das succumbed to poisoning after consuming Prasad in South Kamrup's Sanpara. The young girl, a class 1 student at Kamrup National School in Mirza, died at Gauhati Medical College Hospital while receiving treatment.
 
Over 70 children have been impacted by the poisoning incident, with more than 40 initially receiving treatment. Ten additional individuals have been admitted to hospitals since Wednesday. To provide immediate assistance, a medical team from the district has been dispatched to the area.
 
After eating the prasad, several residents fell ill, which prompted immediate action from the local health authorities. As efforts to treat and monitor those affected by the situation continue, the situation remains critical. To avoid similar instances in the future, the cause of the poisoning is being investigated thoroughly.
