Late actor Nipon Goswami's mortal remains will be transferred from Kalakshetra to the banks of the Dighalipukhuri.
Digital Desk: The funeral for veteran actor Nipon Goswami will take place today. Last night, the actor's mortal remains were saved at Jyoti Chitraban. At 9 a.m. today, the mortal remains will be tranferred from Jyoti Chitraban to Kalakshetra. Audience can pay tributes to the late actor at Kalakshetra.
The mortal remains will then be transferred from Kalakshetra to the banks of the Dighalipukhuri. Admirers will be able to pay their respects near the Sudhakantha statue on the banks of the Dighalipukhuri. The final rituals will be carried out with state honours.
For some time, the renowned actor has been suffering from cardiac problems. However, on October 24, his condition abruptly deteriorated and he was brought to the hospital.
Nipun Goswami died on Thursday at 9:15 a.m at The Nemcare Hospital. Nipon Goswami's death has sent shockwaves throughout Assam.
