Digital Desk: The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav was cremated on Tuesday with full state honours in his hometown of Saifai, which is located in the Etawah district of UP.

The Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress's Mallikarjun Kharge, Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, and other distinguished individuals were present for the former CM's funeral rites.

On Monday, Yadav's mortal remains were taken to his home village, where Yogi Adityanath, the chief executive of Uttar Pradesh, paid tribute to the late CM.

On behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and the UP Government, he also presented flowers to Yadav.

It is to be noted that Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party, passed away on October 10 while receiving medical care in Gurugram's Medanta Hospital.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was born on November 22, 1939, is one of Uttar Pradesh's most well-known political figures. He has served as the chief minister three times and has also held the position of minister of defence for the Union Government.
