From December 2 to January 2, any gathering of five or more individuals, as well as demonstrations, sloganeering, and performances in public areas...


Digital Desk: The Mumbai police have imposed Section 144 in the city on Friday until January 2 to maintain calm and avert disruptions in public order. During this time, gatherings of five or more persons will be restricted across the city. 


During this time, all types of demonstrations, sloganeering, and performances in public places are also prohibited. From December 4 to January 2, the maximum city has likewise imposed a guns prohibition. 


Vishal Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Police's Mission Department, stated in a press statement that any type of gathering, procession, demonstration, or use of loudspeakers will be prohibited in the city till January 2.

1| Mass social gatherings around public entertainment venues aren't allowed


2| No Explosion of crackers, loudspeakers, instruments, and loud bands 

 

3| Sloganeering, protests, and song performances in public locations


4| Processions of many kinds, including weddings, funerals, and large-scale meetings of corporations, clubs, cooperative societies, and other such organisations 


5| Gatherings of 5 or more individuals in the vicinity of government offices, courts, and municipal entities carrying out government or semi-government functions 


6| Large meetings for educational activities or general business for schools, universities, and other institutions

 

7| Firearms, swords, and other similar weapons are prohibited. These orders will be in force from December 4 to January 2.


The Mumbai Police said in a news statement that anybody who violate the directives will face harsh punishment.
