Mumbai: The Social Service Branch of Mumbai Police raided Deepa dance bar in Andheri late Sunday night. Reportedly, an NGO has filed a complaint against the dance bar earlier.
Police stated that initially, they were not able to find the girls. These girls were kept in the basement. However, later the team could sense the location of the basement behind a large glass on the wall. Police broke the glass on the wall and rescued 17 girls from the basement.
Mumbai police arrested the bar manager and cashier, and they have been booked at Andheri police station. In this case, the police stated that they suspected illegal practices in the bar.
Moreover, a complaint was filed by NGO that there has been an open breach of regulations in this dance bar, even during the Corona period.

Furthermore, against the rules of Mumbai Police, bar dancers dance openly in the bar, and every day hundreds of individuals come to spend lakhs of rupees on these bar dancers.
Social Service Branch DCP Raju Bhujbal said that when the team raided, nothing was seen initially. Later, the police doubted the glass on the wall from the site.
Bhujbal reached for a big hammer and ordered the officials to break the glass of the wall. The action lasted for 15 hours, after which the team found a basement that kept 17 girls hidden in it. The basement had no provision for ventilation; however, it included Acs, beds, soft drinks etc.
