Firozabad: Over the past few days, at least 41 people, including 36 children, died of mysterious fever in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district. 

The doctor suspects it to be dengue or viral fever, but it didn’t confirm till now. 

Government medical college Principal, Dr Sangeeta Aneja, Stated, “Atleast 41 persons including 36 children have died due to suspected viral fever and dengue in Firozabad district. However, it doesn’t prove that third wave of covid has arrived as none of the admitted patients were found positive.”

Reportedly, a team of ICMR will reach Firozabad on Wednesday night to inspect the situation, which has caused chaos among the people. 

A separate ward has been made for this suspicious fever in Firozabad. 

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Autonomous state medical college to inspect the people infected by the unknown disease and ordered the concerned authority to send special teams to Mathura, Mainpuri, and Firozabad districts to take steps to restrain the vector-borne diseases. 

Moreover, CM Adityanath ordered the removal of the chief medical officer of the Firozabad district for the deaths.
