The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), earlier in the day, changed the order of those on its list of candidates for national office

Digital Desk: On Saturday, the BJP named G R Ravindra Raju as general secretary (organisation) of its Assam and Tripura sections, and Phanindra Nath Sharma as general secretary (organisation) of its Haryana state unit.

It will be a position swap for both Raju and Sharma.

In the Andaman and Nicobar branch of the party, Vivek Dadhakar will succeed as general secretary (organisation).

The general secretaries (organisation) of the BJP in its state units are often chosen from the RSS. They are essential to carrying out the party's policies and programmes and act as a conduit between the organisation and its ideological guide.
