Digital Desk: Education Ministry officials announced new NCERT textbooks updated as per the new National Education Policy (NEP) are scheduled to be used in schools beginning with the 2024-25 academic year. The textbooks will be created under the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).

"The new textbooks are expected to be launched in the 2024-25 academic year. It is a difficult challenge, but we are striving towards it. The textbooks will be rewritten following the new NCF, on which work is already underway "According to a senior MoE official.

"Since COVID-19 demonstrated that there is a need for digital learning, all of the new textbooks will be made available digitally at the same time so that everyone may obtain them," he added.

Noting that textbooks should not remain "static," the official stated that an institutional framework will be built to ensure that textbooks are regularly updated.
