LIVE: Eight New Ministers Sworn In at Raj Bhavan, Meghalaya

Shillong: A swearing-in ceremony for new Cabinet Ministers was held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Shillong, on Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Meghalaya Governor C.H. Vijayashankar administered the oath of office and secrecy to eight legislators. The newly inducted ministers are:- 1. Timothy D. Shira (Resubelpara) 2. Metbah Lyngdoh (Mairang) 3. Sanbor Shullai (South Shillong) 4. Lahkmen Rymbui (Amlarem) 5. Brening A. Sangma (Dalu) 6. Sosthenes Sohtun (Jirang) 7. Wailadmiki Shylla (Jowai) 8. Methodius Dkhar (Mawshynrut) The ceremony follows a major cabinet reshuffle after the resignation of eight previous ministers.
