Digital Desk: A worker tragically lost his life due to electrocution while working at the Mohanbari Air Force base in Dibrugarh.


Allegations have been made against the contractor firm, Dinesh Gogoi Enterprise, for attempting to cover up the horrific incident. 


The tragic death occurred when the worker, identified as Biki Das from Mura Line of Hazel Bank Tea Estate in Chabua, was working at the contractor firm.


Biki Das, who had been employed under contractor firm Dinesh Gogoi Enterprise for a long time, came into contact with an 11,000-volt electric wire, leading to his untimely death.


Family members and various organisations have alleged that the worker's death was caused by negligence on the part of the contractor firm.


The contractor firm, Dinesh Gogoi Enterprise, has been accused of failing to ensure worker safety and violating labour laws.


Following the incident, the deceased worker's body was sent to Assam Medical College & Hospital in Dibrugarh for a post-mortem examination.


The family of the deceased has filed a complaint against the contractor firm at the Mohanbari police station.


Various organisations, including All Assam Students' Union (AASU), have demanded legal action against DG Enterprise for neglecting workers' safety and violating labour laws.
