Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, cautioning that if it continues to export terrorism, its very place on the world map could be in danger. Speaking at an army post in Rajasthan, Gen Dwivedi said the Army would not exercise the same restraint it showed during Operation Sindoor 1.0. “This time we will not maintain that restraint. We will do something that will make Pakistan think whether it wants to retain its place in geography or not. If Pakistan wants to remain on the map, it must stop state-sponsored terrorism,”

An alleged murder has been reported at the Railway Colony in Bamunimaidam, Guwahati. The incident occurred at the Durga Puja pandal of Kalibari Jagariti Sangha. Avinash Rajak (26), who was dancing at the pandal, allegedly requested that a song by Zubeen Garg be played. His request enraged a group of youths led by Agni Sharma, Sujit Sarkar, and Ratul Bora. Reportedly, around 20–25 men attacked Avinash and brutally assaulted him, leaving him critically injured.

Fire broke out in Guwahati’s Fancy Bazar area late last night, originating from a store named Bombay Saree inside Cyber Mart on SS Road. One person lost his life in the incident, while five others sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to GMCH , with all reported to be in critical condition. The blaze, which started around 3:30 a.m., raged for nearly five hours before it was brought under control after relentless efforts by the fire brigade. Around 10–12 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. Cyber Mart, which houses nearly 100 shops, suffered extensive damage in the devastating incident.
