Digital Desk: In the early hours last night, a night bus accident occurred in the Salbagan area of Doboka when the driver lost control in the Doboka forest region. The bus, bearing registration number MN01 2176, was traveling from Guwahati to Manipur with over 50 passengers on board. Several passengers sustained serious injuries in the crash.
Haldiati police and local authorities quickly responded, rescuing survivors and arranging medical treatment. Many of the injured were taken to hospitals nearby in order to seek immediate attention. Due to the accident, some passengers took shelter at the local police station overnight.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
