The BJP, however, noticed the difference instantly. Sukanta Majumdar, a BJP leader, drew attention to the fact that the picture showed a Nikon camera with a Canon cover.

Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday released a pack of cheetahs into a specific place in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park while wearing a safari hat, vest, and sunglasses. The prime minister showed off his passion for photography by taking a couple of pictures of the large cats in the park. However, the Trinamool Congress used this chance to mock the PM by posting a modified image of him. Not long after, a BJP fact check appeared.

MP for the Trinamool Congress Jawhar Sircar posted a modified photo of Prime Minister Modi taking a selfie. "Keeping the lid on all statistics is one thing, but keeping the cover on the camera lens is sheer far-sightedness," the TMC leader said in the photo's caption.

The BJP, however, noticed the difference instantly. Sukanta Majumdar, a BJP leader, drew attention to the fact that the picture showed a Nikon camera with a Canon cover.

"Using a Canon cover, a Nikon camera is shown in an altered photo shared by a TMC Rajya Sabha MP. Such a terrible effort to disseminate false propaganda. Mamata Banerjee, find a better candidate who at least has the common sense "said Sukanta Majumdar.

It is to be noted that the TMC MP Jawhar Sircar quickly removed the tweet.

On a special aircraft from Namibia to India, eight cheetahs landed on Saturday morning. PM Modi released three of them in the KNP, while the remaining five were reintroduced by other leaders as part of an ambitious programme. In India, cheetahs had vanished seventy years prior.
