The foundation stones for 26 National Highway projects worth over Rs 17,500 crore...

Digital Desk: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 26 National Highway projects worth over Rs 17,500 crore in Guwahati today, significantly enhancing the state's road infrastructure. 

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will join the Union Minister in dedicating the national highway projects to the state at a ceremony to be held at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati, Assam.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari arrived in Guwahati on Monday and offered prayers at the Kamakhya temple.

The Union Minister visited the temple with his wife and sought the blessings of Goddess Kamakhya. 

Under the guidance of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and NHIDCL (National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.), several national highway projects are now underway in Assam and other states in the region. Additionally, Gadkari will lay the foundation stone for a few NH projects.
