Digital Desk: Assam Minister Health & Family Welfare Keshab Mahanta on Sunday stated that the Assam government would not issue a new SOP for the upcoming celebration of Saraswati Puja. The minister further stated that educational institutions could organize and celebrate Saraswati Puja in the Assam state without any severe restrictions.  Also Read: Assam Covid-19 Update: Records 2,294 cases, 22 casualties The new SOP, which is supposed to be released in February, will not include any special mention for the upcoming Saraswati Puja in Assam. Moreover, Keshab Mahanta also asked the people of the state and the organizers of the Saraswati Puja to follow the mandatory Covid-19 protocols and guidelines issued earlier.
