Digital Desk: Supertech Emerald Court in Noida will be demolished in two weeks The Supreme Court ordered the demolition of the 40-story Twins Emerald Court in Noida on Monday. In order to finalize the schedule for the demolition of the twin towers, the top court ordered the Noida CEO to call a meeting with all agencies concerned within 72 hours. "The CEO Noida will take all necessary actions for the implementation of the court's directions so that the demolition process can start no later than two weeks from today," said the bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant. Also Read: Hyundai Motor Clarifies After Backlash Over Kashmir Tweet From Pakistan A top court had ordered the demolition of Supertech Ltd's twin Emerald Court 40-story towers under construction on August 31 last year for violating building standards in "collusion with Noida officials." The court found that illegal construction must be strictly dealt with to ensure compliance with the law. The court ordered that homebuyers be reimbursed with interest and that the RWA of Emerald Court project be paid Rs.2 crore for the harassment caused by the construction of the twin towers, which would have blocked sunlight and fresh air to residents of the project.
