The Covid-19 cases has been rising and looking at the situation, the Arunachal Pradesh government decided to ban the non-vacinnated people from enter the bordering State. During a virtual meeting Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar in a virtual meeting told the Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla to ensure only vaccinated people to enter. 

Kumar also informed Bhalla of the on going situation of undertaken aggressive testing for COVID-19. People aged 18 years over 68 percent have received their first dose of the vaccine in the State.  Further, the chief secretary informed about the State adopting a three-prong strategy from preventing the virus, including extensive tracking and testing, enforcement of COVID-appropriate behaviour and vaccination.

Kumar also mentioned of the State to get an additional three lakh vaccines in a bid to achieve 100 per cent coverage of beneficiaries in the 18-plus and 45-plus age groups. The number of covid cases have spiked with 399 fresh case in Arunachal Pradesh.
