Lutfor Rahman is known for targeting elderly people by swapping their ATM cards.
Digital Desk: The notorious ATM fraudster Lutfor Rahman has been arrested for the second time as Odalbakra police caught him. Central jail officials arrested him after having detained him there previously. Lutfor Rahman successfully exploits senior citizens through his method of swapping their ATM cards.
Rahman sneaked into ATM booths in prestext of helping the senior citizens and cunningly he would steal the bank cards before discreetly substituting them with alternate cards. His victims lost significant amounts of money due to his deceitful tricks at ATM booths.
He has pulled off many deceits which caused victims to lose tens of thousands of rupees. Prior to this incident Bessista police arrested Lutfor and multiple criminal cases linked his name to multiple police stations throughout Guwahati especially in Dispur. Even in the Odalbakra area, he had stolen several ATM cards from people, leading to his arrest by the Odalbakra police.
