cool weather brought by the rains has enhanced the festive spirit…

Digital desk: As Navratri commences in Guwahati, the city is experiencing a refreshing change in weather thanks to the October rains that have brought cooler temperatures. Typically it remains warm and humid this time of year, but this time Guwahati has been graced with light showers, transforming the climate into one pleasant environment just in time for the start of the nine-day festival.

Navratri is an auspicious time of celebration, devotion, and joy for the entire city, marked by colorful pandals and rituals. Today, the cool weather brought by the rains has enhanced the festive spirit, making it more comfortable for people to engage in celebration without sweating in the heat that usually accompanies this season.

The October rain has dropped the mercury to cooler levels, and people can now enjoy the evening pujas and nighttime festivities with great relief.  Devotees have been blessed with cooler weather, making it easier for everyone to visit temples
throughout Guwahati. The rain has cleared the dust, offering a cleaner and more
picturesque backdrop for the celebrations.

Though the rains have brought relief, it has also caused some disruptions. As,  some areas around the city experienced minor water logging due to the afternoon shower, this slowed the traffic and created inconveniences for commuters. Despite these challenges, the mood in the city remains quite positive, as residents have adapted to the weather and continue to embrace the festival with enthusiasm.

As the Navratri and Durga Puja shopping spree continues in the city, the hope for cooler and moderate weather continues to linger in the minds of the people. The people of Guwahati are soaking in the festive atmosphere, grateful for the amazing climate that makes this season of devotion and celebration more enjoyable.
