On his 50th birthday, Karan Johar reveals a new action picture.

"I believe that becoming a filmmaker is the component of which I am most passionate!" I've usually taken extensive breaks between films in the past, but on this particular day, I'd want to reveal my next directorial feature... "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will be released on February 10, 2023, and I will begin shooting my action film in April 2023," he said, asking for blessings and love.

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, filmmaker Karan Johar turned 50. On his special day, he announced his next film, an action film, to his followers. He revealed that filming for the untitled action picture will begin in April of next year, following the release of his film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

He added a message of'reflection' to the update on social media. "I turned 50 today (a number that looked like a distant nightmare)," he added, "but I realise it's kind of a mid-point in my life, I can't help but exist as my want tobe millennial self." Some call it a midlife crisis, but I prefer to call it simply "living life without apology."

I've worked in the film industry for over 27 years and have had the most incredible experiences!!! Telling tales, generating content, developing talent, and watching the world's best performers perform right in front of my eyes... These years have felt like a giant dream that has made all the restless nights worthwhile! The brickbats, bouquets, praising souls, public trolls... I'm glad for them all... All of it!!! It's all been an important part of my learning curve and personal development."
