Digital Desk: Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar died on Sunday (February 6) morning due to health issues. Since then, fans have been sharing tributes to the late artist, along with her old interviews, on social media. Recently, one of the video snippets went viral on social media. In the interview, the artist can be seen talking about rebirth. She stated that she didn’t want to be reborn as herself. According to reports, the viral video is a snippet from her candid talk with Javed Akhtar. During the conversation, she said in Hindi, “Naa hi janam miley toh acha hain aur agar wakayi janam mila mujhe toh main Lata Mangeshkar banna nahi chahungi (I don’t want to be reborn. But if I do, I don’t want to be reborn as Lata Mangeshkar).”

“Lata Mangeshkar ki jo taqleefein hain wo usko hi pata hain.” she added with a smile when Akhtar asked the reason. Notably, it is unclear when the conversation took place or if she went into more detail about her problems. Recently, actor Shatrughan Sinha stated that Lata Mangeshkar “sacrificed her marriage for her family” and that Lata Ji was “respected for what she has done for them.” On Sunday evening, Lata Mangeshkar was cremated with full state honours at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among those who paid the last homage to the singer.  Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Shankar Mahadevan, Vidya Balan, Anupam Kher were others who paid their last respect to the Indian Nightingale.
