The cause of its demise, according to the forest staff, may have been due to a shortage of food.

Digital Desk: On Monday night, a one-horned rhino was found dead in a paddy field in the Golaghat district of Assam.

Locals in the Padumoni region of the district discovered the body laying in a paddy field.

According to reports, the rhino escaped the Kaziranga National Park and has been wandering about the district for a few days.
Some locals alerted the police and the forest authority right away after the occurrence.

In the meantime, a veterinarian and a group of Kaziranga forest officials reached the location.

The cause of its demise, according to the forest staff, may have been due to a shortage of food.

Five days ago, this rhino entered this area and assaulted at least four individuals, injuring two forest officers in the process.

The district administration, according to the villagers, did not take the proper steps to return the rhino to Kaziranga National Park.
